So President Obama has signed the documents initiating the de-commissioning of the Guantanamo Bay detention center. Presumably the prisoners there will now either be charged with whatever crimes they are alleged to have committed, transferred to mainland detention centers or released. Whatever happens to the detainees, guilty or innocent they have already served 8 years in incarceration without trial under a so called civilized regime.

But what of the highly qualified and motivated staff at Guantanamo Bay? What's going to happen to them?

Well here’s an idea in these days of 'bank initiated' unemployment. Rather than dismantling the facility and wasting all the obvious talent and experience the staff have acquired, why not convert the whole establishment into a holiday camp for masochists and training establishment for sadomasochists?
