20 Blue Macaw | |||||||||||||||
Blue Macaw is actually grey, but I have yet to find a marble pebble that's blue. So a little imagination is required, that's all. Something in me says it's 'sacrilegious' but another side of me argues that many of the ancient sculptures were almost always painted (the paint having long since worn or weathered away], so modifying the stone is not unheard of. The 'other side 'of me has won, so upon completion I will immerse Blue Macaw in a bath of blue vegetable dye. Marble is porous to varying degrees, so a dye should work - I hope. |
